How it works
Once you’re in the program, you will
- Start the HCA (Health Care Assistant) curriculum
(3 months online, 2 weeks practicum) - Obtain your certification, and gain recognition as a trained HCA
(Health Care Aide) - Get special training for adapting to living & working in Canada
- Receive job openings & help to get hired for healthcare aide job
- Be positioned & supported for opportunities to get reduced-cost or
free housing
In the HCA program
You will learn how to
- Provide ethical, individual care for clients’ values and ways of life
- Assist clients and families in performing activities of daily living
- Ensure medications are taken as indicated by healthcare
practitioners - Care for clients with complex needs
- Work with a larger healthcare team
- Communicate with tact and clarity
Upon completion, you will earn your official certification, and get
recognition as a trained HCA (Health Care Aide)
In the Special Training
You will learn

- Home making skills
- Cooking, meal preparation, & food safety
- Driver’s training theory
- Public transportation systems
- Financial systems & tools
Upon completion, you will have a clearer understanding of Canadian culture, so you can more easily.

- Safely prepare food & meals for others
- Travel where you need to go, by using public transportation or driving yourself
- Understand and use banks, credit, and other financial tools to support yourself

Once you complete everything
- We will find and place you into healthcare aide jobs with our partners, to
fast-track you into getting hired - You will find many of the live-in caregiver jobs often provide reduced
rent, or even free housing, for you - After getting your job, you will be on track to work towards your PR
(permanent residency) to become an official Canadian citizen with your
first steps into a healthcare career
