He also runs a charity that specializes in diverting viable food from grocery stores and suppliers to organizations that provide food to at-risk individuals. Danison aims to expand his influence on those who thrive to make a difference in society.

From working tirelessly in the busy hallways of the Emergency Department, to the comfortable confines of clients’ homes, A.J. has experienced working in health care across the spectrum as a Registered Nurse. He hopes to bring his expertise in individualized care, attentiveness to numerous health challenges, and the ability to provide compassion and personalized service to the prospective clients of HEAL.
Dr. McBride has over 10 years of experience in Artificial Intelligence, Data Science, and Machine Learning. His work includes multiple peer-reviewed publications on AI, including models developed in collaboration with the power utility BC Hydro to predict/prevent power outages as well as models to identify then remove public safety hazards, and reviewing papers at international conferences such as KDD (ACM SIGKDD International Conference on Knowledge Discovery and Data Mining).
Dr. McBride is dedicated to using AI for good, whether through running an R&D consulting service for non-profits in British Columbia (ROM2 Consulting) or teaching the ethics of AI at British Columbia universities such as Trinity Western University and Simon Fraser University.
Sabian has 15+ years using IT systems, 3+ years leading teams, and 5+ years self-studying cognitive science which includes social & behavioural psychology and XD (experience design). He created CNC (Core Needs Communication), a language designed to create mutual understanding, connection, and growth in every conversation and relationship. CNC borrows from models such as NVC (Nonviolent Communication), SDT (Self-Determination Theory), Maslow’s Hierarchy of Needs, and others. Sabian founded a startup called Ugeddit which, along with teaching CNC, focuses on helping youth, teachers, and leaders master effective communication for building happy and productive relationships.

Aishwarya brings a wealth of expertise to her role as Project Manager at Heal Academy. With a strong background in bioinformatics and molecular biology, she has worked extensively at leading institutions such as the University of British Columbia (UBC), Simon Fraser University (SFU), and the BC Centre for Disease Control (BCCDC). Her research contributions include genomic analysis, the development of bioinformatics tools, and public health initiatives, showcasing her dedication to advancing scientific knowledge and its practical application in healthcare. With a focus on integrating advanced scientific research into healthcare education, she wants to play a pivotal role in enhancing the learning experiences at Heal Academy.
Dr. Dito is a dedicated Medical Doctor based in Bali, Indonesia, and brings a wealth of experience to the field of healthcare. His work with the Indonesian Red Cross Bali District has not only honed his clinical skills but also deepened his commitment to improving public health. Beyond the hospital walls, Dito is a sought-after resource person and speaker, frequently appearing on national television and radio in Indonesia. His passion for promoting health and wellbeing resonates with audiences across the country.
