Danison Buan, CEO

Danison is the Chief Executive Officer of HEAL Academy. He brings over 11 years of entrepreneurial experience and a deep commitment to social impact. He has successfully built and led ventures at the intersection of business, education, and community development. At HEAL, Danison drives the organization’s strategic vision to deliver accessible, culturally relevant healthcare training to underserved and emerging markets worldwide.

Outside of HEAL, Danison leads a charitable organization that rescues surplus food from grocery stores and suppliers, redirecting it to community groups supporting at-risk individuals. He serves as the District 5040 Membership Chair for Rotary International, is the founder of the Regal Rotaract Club, and sits on several boards, including the New Westminster Chamber of Commerce (NWCC), Healthy Community Partnership (HCP), and the Business Improvement Area Council (BIAC). His mission is to empower people who are working to make a difference in society, locally and globally.

Dr. Ryan McBride, CTO

Dr. McBride is the Chief Technology Officer at HEAL Academy, bringing over a decade of expertise in Artificial Intelligence, Data Science, and Machine Learning to the organization. With a strong foundation in both research and applied AI, his work spans the development of predictive models for public safety and infrastructure, most notably in partnership with BC Hydro, where he built machine learning systems to forecast power outages and detect safety hazards. His research has been published in peer-reviewed journals and presented at top-tier international conferences, including KDD (ACM SIGKDD), where he has also served as a paper reviewer.

In addition to his technical leadership, Dr. McBride is deeply committed to ethical and socially impactful applications of AI. He runs ROM2 Consulting, an R&D firm supporting non-profits in British Columbia with data-driven solutions. He has taught AI ethics and data science at institutions such as Simon Fraser University and Trinity Western University. At HEAL, Dr. McBride leads the strategic development of AI-enhanced learning tools, guiding the integration of intelligent systems that are not only innovative but also equitable, responsible, and mission-aligned.

Sabian Finogwar, CXO

Sabian is the Chief Experience Officer at HEAL Academy, where he leads the design and delivery of intuitive, culturally responsive, and human-centred learning experiences. With 15+ years of experience using IT systems, over 3 years in team leadership, and a self-taught background in cognitive science, Sabian brings a unique blend of behavioral psychology, experience design (XD), and systems thinking to healthcare education.

Sabian founded a startup called Ugeddit, an education-focused startup where he teaches Core Needs Communication (CNC), a communication framework he created that blends insights from Nonviolent Communication (NVC), Self-Determination Theory (SDT), and Maslow’s Hierarchy of Needs. His work centers around helping youth, educators, and leaders master interpersonal connection through meaningful, growth-oriented dialogue. At HEAL, Sabian ensures every learner journey is not just functional but emotionally resonant, empowering, and transformative.

Aishwarya Sridhar, COO

Aishwarya is the Chief Operating Officer at HEAL Academy. With over nine years of experience in public health research, clinical program development, and health tech innovation, she brings deep interdisciplinary expertise to the leadership team. Aishwarya has led the end-to-end design and international rollout of HEAL’s clinical education platform, serving frontline healthcare professionals across multiple global markets.

At HEAL, she architected the academic experience, including curriculum development, regulatory alignment, and digital delivery systems, while spearheading operations, sales enablement, and AI-driven product innovation. Under her leadership, HEAL successfully launched in five international markets, scaled its internal team, and introduced a customized LMS with intelligent learning features. Aishwarya’s background includes research in infectious disease genomics at the BC Centre for Disease Control, University of British Columbia and Simon Fraser University, as well as leadership roles in socially driven health and education initiatives. She is passionate about building scalable, tech-enabled solutions that improve access to quality healthcare training worldwide.

Dr. Dito Setidarma, Instructor

Dr. Dito is a dedicated Medical Doctor based in Bali, Indonesia, and brings a wealth of experience to the field of healthcare. His work with the Indonesian Red Cross Bali District has not only honed his clinical skills but also deepened his commitment to improving public health. Beyond the hospital walls, Dito is a sought-after resource person and speaker, frequently appearing on national television and radio in Indonesia. His passion for promoting health and wellbeing resonates with audiences across the country.
